11 May 2021 | The Impact of Standardization on European Economic Recovery
On May 11, 2021, the conference 'The Impact of Standardization on European Economic Recovery' took place, which focused on the importance of standardization for European recovery and resilience, within the scope of the Industrial Strategy and the Single Market. This conference was organized around two panels. The first panel dealt with the importance of standardization in promoting the competitiveness of the European Union, while the second discussed the role of standardization in creating opportunities within the Single Market.

May 27 , 2021| Competitiveness Council Meeting (COMPET)
The Single Market and Industry Ministers met on 27 May, in Brussels, to discuss the update of the 2020 Industrial Strategy, with the debate focusing on aspects of the Digital Package considered necessary to ensure the strengthening of the Digital Single Market and a space safer online, where fundamental rights are protected, and competition is fair and free. In this context, the Council Conclusions in Sustainable Tourism and Better Regulation were also approved.
This meeting was chaired by the Minister of State, Economy and Digital Transition, Pedro Siza Vieira.
